CRANSTON, RI, OCTOBER 23 - June 2006 marked a month of new beginning for Equity
Concepts, Inc. by celebrating the grand opening of their Portland branch. Oregon
branch managers Thomas Drinkwater and Michael Pattullo supervise a staff of ten
employees.
After talking with Equity Concepts' President David Sisti, Drinkwater and Pattullo
saw the advantage to having an office in Portland; the mortgage market was stable
and thriving.
With the ECI parent branch located in Rhode Island, the Oregon office originally
found it difficult to be in contact because of the three hour time difference. But
with long hours and a steady persistence, Drinkwater and Pattullo gained a grasp
about the mortgage industry and ECI. In the end, Drinkwater finds it is all worth
it.
"This is a great environment to work in. It allows us to benefit from a tireless
work ethic and incredible drive," he says.
Working 17-hour days, 7-days a week, leaving breaks only for Red Sox games,
Drinkwater and Pattullo have seen drastic changes in the short four months since the
grand opening. The branch has increased net fees by 1,000-percent.
